Monte Verde Lake is one of the more popular fishing locales in Angel Fire Resort. It is superbly stocked several times throughout the summer, and equipment and bait are available at the lake. Fishing is free to members of the resort, seniors 65 + over, and kids under 12. No fishing license is required.
Eagle Nest Lake is a 2,200 acre lake 9 miles from Angel Fire and boasts some of the finest trophy fishing for rainbow trout and kokanee salmon in the Southwest. Fishing is excellent in open water or through the ice for 14 inch and bigger rainbows. Eagle Nest Lake is stocked on a regular basis.
